There are important changes to Birth to 6 Early Childhood Indicators pertaining to Child Outcomes, Transitions, and Environments. School District and Taylor County Birth to Three Staff will be attending an upcoming training in 10-11. Here are the main points:
1. Early Childhood Outcomes-Used to be started during the self
assessment year. Now all districts will follow and report on all
children every year.
2. Early Childhood Transitions from b-3- This indicator requires
100% compliance with having services for eligible children implemented
on or before the 3rd birthday. There are some timeline and PPS changes.
3. Early Childhood Environments-All children are to be educated to
the maximum extent possible with non-disabled age peers. The reporting
changes that began last fall will be review
