Census of Students who are Blind or Visually Impaired

From DPI:
The American Printing House for the Blind (APH) provides our state with over $280,000 in large print and braille books in addition to a variety of educational materials that support our children. To receive these funds we must report eligible students annually. Next week, you will receive a letter from the Wisconsin Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired (WCBVI) with instructions to complete the census. Generally, this is completed by Teachers of the Visually Impaired or other staff serving students or babies. The deadline is February 8, 2012, so please be sure either to complete the forms or send them immediately to the appropriate staff member.

If you have questions about the census process or student eligibility for the APH Federal Quota Program, please email the Census Coordinator at aphcensus@wcbvi.k12.wi.us or contact Ex-Officio Trustee (EOT) Dan Wenzel, at (608) 758-4925dan.wenzel@wcbvi.k12.wi.us, or EOT Administrative Assistant Mandy Jordan at (608) 758-6141amanda.jordan@wcbvi.k12.wi.us. Thank you for your part in making this important resource available to children in Wisconsin!
