It appears the final decision on whether to add a new position and/or transfer an existing paraprofessional to this position will not be made until June due to uncertainty with the budget. This will reduce the amount of time for transition purposes for the students and staff to 11-12 and summer school. This may mean a current special education assistant from MAES will need to transfer to MAMS for 11-12 along with students for transition purposes.
